Part of the Nikki Beach Resort & Spa, which is found on the waterfront of Pearl Jumeira, Café Nikki is a relaxed all-day bistro which focuses on light dishes which are perfect for lazy lunches or low-key dinners.
The restaurant’s dining room is unsurprisingly beachy in its vibe, featuring light wooden walls, crisp white coloured chairs and cutesy blackboards with specials written up on them. Café Nikki also benefits from plenty of natural light, as well as boasting envious views across the Arabian Gulf.
In case you didn’t know, Nikki Beach is a global brand with outposts in glitzy outposts such as Monaco, Marbella and Miami to name just a few. At the Dubai site, Café Nikki’s menu takes inspiration from the dishes served at Nikki Beach locations around the world, so expect a please-all menu of favourites from across the globe.
Serving lunch and dinner, Café Nikki’s offering features salads and sandwiches, as well as more substantial dishes which often make use of seafood. If you’re visiting for lunch, you can tuck into the likes of the Nikki Beach Caesar which features Romain leaves, crisp croutons, shaved parmesan cheese and a garlic and anchovy emulsion. Otherwise, try the BBQ Bites, which is made up of barbecue shredded chicken which is topped with sour cream, iceberg lettuce and jalapeno.
If you’re visiting later in the day, it’s best to go for one of Café Nikki’s most substantial dishes, which is where the menu’s international influences really come into play. Choose from the likes of a chicken or vegetable biryani, or opt for the pun-heavy What’s The Story Yakitori, which sees grilled chicken skewers slicked with a miso and honey glaze, and served alongside charred kale and lettuce, noodles and an orange and kimchi dip.
No Dubai restaurant would be complete without a brunch offering, and the weekly Friday brunch at Café Nikki is a very particular form of endurance test – it lasts all day long.
