The Roaring 20s were famous for many things. This was the decade of swing music, of hedonism in response to Prohibition, of the literature of F. Scott Fitzgerald and James Joyce. Most of all this was the decade of socialising, elevated to an art form by the presence of hundreds of literary salons. This is the spirit that resides so heavily in Dubai’s Café Society. This is the spirit they want to bring back.
This in-demand venue combines art deco glamour with artistic expression and a high-quality menu to boot. The aim is to attract a clientele of creatives including artists, poets, writers, fashionistas, celebrities and influencers through their sophisticated atmosphere and delicious menu heavily inspired by the bistro culture of the 1920s. Café Society is a celebration of living, of people and of conversation, a modern reflection of and a call back to the Golden Age.
Located in Dubai Marina, you could be forgiven for thinking you’re in 1920s Manhattan. The venue is kitted out with Gatsby-esque gold fittings and 1920s inspired poster and wall art. Floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the restaurant let in the glowing Emirati sun, while rounded low chairs provide a cosy, snug feel, ideal for settling into to begin some inspired conversation.
The setting is luxurious, and so is the food. This menu is guaranteed to take you on a whirlwind trip around the globe. Kick off with appetizers like the deliciously gooey truffle mushroom croquettes, or some prawn tempura served with mango sauce and batter. Next up we have an alliterated assortment of soup, salads, sushi and sashimi to whet your appetite even further.
Main dishes are divided into pizza, fish, chicken, meat, pasta and risotto, and burgers and sandwiches, featuring international dishes from all corners of the world.
