Chef Izu Ani cooks up a storm at Carine, turning out delicious Mediterranean inspired dishes and cocktails to match the stunning weather in Dubai. The relaxed space is located on the first floor of Emirates Golf Club, decorated simply with modern French furnishings. The terrace is ideal for soaking in the sunset over the skyline of Dubai, while the floor to ceiling windows ensure the same can be said for the inside. The welcoming service will instantly put you at ease so you can settle in and enjoy chef Ani's excellent cooking.
In true French style, oysters or caviar blinis kick things off, the former topped with shallot, cucumber and pickled apple. From here, diners can keep things francais with the likes of confit duck leg, foie gras or escargots, or expand to more Mediterranean dishes, such as grilled harissa prawns, spicy calamari or lobster salad with yuzu. Cold dishes are a focus here, with the likes of beef tartare, carpaccio and more taking a prime spot. Heartier dishes at Carine include lobster linguine, seafood risotto and beef fillet with bordelaise sauce and truffle mashed potatoes. Vegetarians, meanwhile, can enjoy mushroom risotto, truffle tortellini or gnocchi with fresh cherry tomato sauce.
Finish with a classic tarte tatin or creme brulee, although there are plenty more French options to choose from. More decadent options include tiramisu or a molten brownie marshmallow with creme Anglaise. Those wanting a more savoury ending to the meal can plump for the cheese selection.
Breakfast is also available at Carine when diners can enjoy eggs Benedict, Royale or Florentine, alongside omelettes, shakshuka and more. Crepes are on offer too, with a choice of fillings such as strawberry and chocolate, mixed berries or salted caramel. Pastries and cakes offer something sweet for the morning, perfect to accompany a coffee.
