Striking modern interiors act as the backdrop to the show that is Carnival by Tresind’s modern Indian food. Everything here is delivered with a generous helping of fun and fantasy, with colourful and creative plates at the heart of everything the team do.
Interiors are as lively as the food, with a striking geometric black and white floor taking centre stage, and bright bon-bon coloured chairs clustered around tables acting as a framework for the carnival conviviality. There are also semi-private booths available for a more intimate party vibe, should you wish to enjoy an evening with friends that allows you your own little slice of the restaurant without losing the wider ambiance.
In keeping with the rest of the venue the food offering is presented on quirky menus, that look as though they are sheets torn from a school workbook. Try a selection of the unusual small plates to kick things off - South Indian ginger prawns with palm sugar caramel and curry leaf crisps or chicken momos with red chilli chutney and charred cucumber salad, for instance. Big plates feature all the classics, like biryani and butter chicken as well as an interesting pressed chicken tikka and cheese toasty with masala fries.
Having made your way through an adventurous lineup of savoury plates, make sure you leave room for pudding. Here you’ll have the choice of classic Indian sweets like the milk cake crumble with saffron milk and dates or a delicious European-style plate of lemon tart with strawberry sorbet and dehydrated meringues.
As with many restaurants in Dubai, Carnival also serve up a pretty impressive Friday brunch menu. Here you’ll be treated to a wide selection of delicious dishes and a whole host of drinks options to enjoy with friends or family.
Service is fast paced and friendly, so if there’s something you need help with, just as the affable team.
