Situated in the luxury FIVE hotel and resort, Cinque, formerly known as Quattro Passi, promises diners an authentic taste of Italy inspired by the colours and flavours of the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Whilst the menu created by chef Guiseppe Pezzella turns Italian dining on its head through its large sharing-style dishes, the food still retains the authenticity of mamma’s classic recipes. The ambience also reflects the joviality of Italian life with a self-playing coral coloured piano churning out fun Italian tunes and the patio doors flung open to allow guests to dine al fresco when the weather is fresher. The modern interiors are vibrant and welcoming with contemporary furnishings and sketches on the wall of Italian townscapes.
Starters are split between cold and hot options to share alongside a selection of raw seafood dishes that include Fin de Claire oysters, tuna tartare and marinated smoked salmon. Highlights include the pan seared red prawns wrapped in squid with burrata, watermelon and gazpacho Andalusia; and the fried and baked zucchini with mozzarella and parmesan foam.
Elsewhere pasta dishes are available in two sizes perfect for sharing. Enjoy a heaped bowl Gragnano spaghetti with king crab and Amalfi lemon or Caprese style stuffed ravioli with buffalo mozzarella, datterino tomato sauce and a burrata cream.
From the main courses, popular options include the lamb loin crusted with aromatic herbs; roasted lamb chops, sweet potato, baby zucchini and pistachio; or the fish of the day which comes grilled, salt crusted or “Aqua Pazza” style depending on your preferences.
Finally for something sweet, have a peruse of the desserts menu which features the likes of a decadent Nutella soufflé and a classic tiramisu. Alternatively, allow the experienced team of mixologists to whip you up an indulgent post-dinner cocktail such as a white chocolate rimmed Espresso Martini as you soak in the vivacious atmosphere.
