The team at Garage are driven by a passion for flavour and diversity above all else. This ultra-chic restaurant has a punchy character and its eclectic and expansive menu means there’s something here to suit everyone’s tastes.
The food here is a culinary journey spread over a range of different cuisines where each outlet containing a small open kitchen which allows diners to interact with chefs and watch their food being prepared. Choose from four different main menus: Meat vault is reserved for ‘elite meat connoisseurs’, steam table sees the best of Asian street food, Nikkei House focuses on the eponymous cuisine featuring Peruvian ingredients prepared using Japanese culinary techniques, while the mezza bar focuses on the charm, character and flavours of Beirut.
The décor matches the individual mini-menus too. Based in the iconic W Abu Dhabi- Yas Island, you’ll find traditional Lebanese mosaics, pickling jars and a long sharing table in the Mezza area, industrial modern fittings at the meat vault and tap wall, while the tart truck is housed in an actual truck.
If the range of food is enough to make your head start spinning, check out some of the highlights: Peruvian lomo saltado bowl with juicy wok roasted beef and pickled tomatoes, chicken machboos doused in rich Arabic spices, premium A5 Wagyu skirt steak with a sauce of your choosing, and acevichado tempura rolls with tempura prawns and a signature sauce.
After you’ve had your fill, move onto the tart truck for some sweet treats and wash it all down with the drinks of your choosing from the tap wall, a curate selection of handcrafted beverages. Why not try the El Diablo cocktail, an explosive combination of whiskey, disarrono and cranberry.
