Award-winning Masti is a modern Indian restaurant that takes its cues from a variety of global influences to create a menu that’s truly unique. The name Masti translates to ‘fun and mischief’, a nod to the way head chef Prashant Chipkar takes classic ideas and injects them with a new lease of life, never conforming to what’s been done before.
The interiors in the main dining room celebrate luxury and vibrance via deep blues and greens, clashing prints and metallic finishes. Hanging gold light fittings cast a warm light over the space while a combination of banquet seating and upholstered chairs ensure anyone who dines in the restaurant feels welcome and comfortable. Don't miss the glamourous bar at one end of the room which is backlit by a spectacular multi-coloured stained-glass window.
The menu comprises a range of small and large sharing dishes. A selection of hot and cold appetisers include things like mango and avocado ceviche with aam panna and crispy plantain, slow cooked lamb croquettes with kashmiri spices, creamed english peas and wasabi, and banana-leaf-wrapped tofu with swiss lentil chaat and tomato-garlic chutney.
Main courses are just as compelling, with examples being saag paneer lasagne made with compressed layered cheese, coconut lime sauce and smashed potatoes, and tamarind BBQ beef ribs with street style corn, pickled red chili and red cabbage. New-style biryanis, inventive bao buns and various spiced flatbreads also feature on the menu.
Masti boasts a talented team of mixologists who have created an incredible array of never-tried-before cocktails. With a focus on gin, and with one of the largest collections of gin in the city, guests can indulge in a gin tasting experience if liked. Examples of signatures include Pink Fleet made with gin, grapefruit, ginger drops, lemon and elderflower tonic, togarashi and a jaggery reduction, and Stour My Way featuring sloe gin, campari, rye whiskey and yuzu tincture.
