Named after legendary Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie, it’s only fitting that Monty’s sits high up by the 18th hole on one of Dubai’s premiere golf clubs.
After a tough day on the course you can relax in the plush conservatory-style space for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The glass floor-to-ceiling windows give picture perfect views of the greens and city beyond them for a really pretty vista while you enjoy the modern global plates the kitchen serves. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, so depending on the weather or the time of day you can take your pick. Seats are comfortable and upholstered in a plush grey fabric, while blue glassware offsets the otherwise neutral space.
The menu roams around the globe, showcasing classics from a range of countries. Begin with crispy squid and a lime aioli or coriander and chilli lamb skewers with an Asian soy vinegar dip. Barbecue dishes are a speciality so for mains we’d recommend something from this robust section - beef short rids with gremolata or a whole smoky charred lobster, say. Elsewhere there’s everything from fish and chips and butter chicken to steak and eggs and spaghetti - truly offering up something for everyone.
If you happen in at lunchtime there’s a comprehensive sandwich menu that features favourites like tuna salad and a chicken club as well as slightly more unusual combinations like a harissa lamb taco, a chicken shawarma and a smoked pulled beef sandwich. All of these come accompanied by chips and salad for a filling midday meal.
Monty’s also serve breakfast, showcasing classics like a full fry up to get you set up properly for a day of sporting (or relaxing) ahead.
Monty’s is family friendly and offers children under five complimentary dining with those up to 11 being afforded 50% off the standard cost.
