With four incredibly popular sites across Turkey, Sirali Kebap has become pretty well known across the world thanks to mouthwatering viral social videos. The group’s first site outside of native Turkey is in Dubai - you’ll find Sirali Dubai in buzzy Business Bay, right next to Safa Park and the Dubai Canal.
Sirali Dubai’s interiors are particularly glamorous, no doubt appealing to the Instagram-crowd that know and love the group already. A canopy of foliage carpets the ceiling, and the space is lit by an assortment of hanging pendant lamps in glass and copper. The wall features a handful of colourful hand painted murals, and that bright, colourful aesthetic stretches to the crockery as well. At the centre of the restaurant, Sirali’s butchers work inside a glass cube, providing everyone with a view of just some of the work that goes on behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, the menu features much of the same unpretentious, comforting Turkish food that has made Sirali popular in Turkey - we’re talking classic, authentic mezze dishes like fatteh, muttabal, muhammara and roasted aubergine salad, as well as an endless menu of starters, main dishes, kebabs, salads and more.
As well as mezze plates, there are lots of delicious starter options - oyster mushrooms in butter, hummus with meatballs, and cig kofte, for example - and then you need to find room for lahmacun and pide baked in the stone oven, traditional sirali kebabs kebabs, and other meat dishes like lamb chops, chicken shish and roasted lamb shank.
Sweets like kunafah and baklava are just as vital, but there are other classic Turkish options too like rice pudding, katmer and fruit platters.
Don’t sleep on the signature cocktails either, like the Cosmonat (vodka, creme de mure, triple sec and vanilla), and the Sultan (Jack Daniels, Kahlua, Turkish coffee, vanilla and walnut).
