Inspired by St. Tropez's relaxed neighbourhood bistros and bars, St. Tropez Bistro Dubai takes the charm and glamour of the south of France and brings it to Dubai. You'll find S. Tropez Bistro Dubai right by Ski Dubai in the enormous Mall of the Emirates, and as a result, it stays perpetually busy with groups and families having a bite to eat before heading out for some skiing, or refuelling after a session on the slopes.
The interiors are chic and elegant - marble table-tops meet plush cream banquettes, dark wood-panelled walls and exposed brickwork, and the generous spacing between tables makes the restaurant feel spacious. The bistro is spread between three areas, a current and elegant lounge area with a quirky twist, a more refined Parisian-style bistro area, and a light and casual cafe-style terrace.
Meanwhile, the menu delves deep into a bank of warm, comforting French bistro food, kicking things off with French onion soup with Gruyere sourdough croutons, the rolling into Burgundy snails with parsley butter, and seared foie gras with pickled raisins, rocket and aged balsamic.
With Ski Dubai being so close, there's definitely an alpine theme to the menu too, which features winter warmers like cheese fondue and baked Camembert, as well as a beef bourgignon, chicken schnitzel with garlic butter, steak frites, chicken cordon bleu and a confit duck leg with dauphinoise potatoes and glazed chicory.
On top of that there are pizzas, pastas, burgers and steaks on offer, so the menu has something for everyone, even the pickiest eaters. If all else fails, get stuck into some sweet treats, ranging from ice creams and sorbets to a classic creme brulee, apple tarte tatin, crepe sucree, or the St. Tropez chocolate fondant with white chocolate crumb. St. Tropez Bistro also does special roast dinners on the weekends.
