If you’re only in Dubai for a few days and want to soak up some of the best sights in the city then The Restaurant At Address Downtown offers up striking scenes of the Burj Khalifa, as well as looking onto the hotel’s pretty manicured gardens. Perfect for a pleasant evening appreciating the city from the comfort of a luxurious restaurant. Floor to ceiling windows ensure that wherever you sit you won’t miss out on this spectacle, while the near-all-glass walls flood the space with natural light for a bright and breezy feeling throughout the day. The crisp, modern furnishings work well with the angular block shelving and almost art-deco style wall markings which all combine to create an inviting environment.
The restaurant’s concept is centred around the space feeling like an apartment and the menu is meant to reflect this in its dishes which supposedly offer a ‘home away from home’ feel. This eatery is open 24 hours a day, but if you happen in at the start of the day you can enjoy plates from the select breakfast menu; Belgian waffles with chocolate spread or eggs Benedict, say. At lunchtime there are soups and salads which do well to keep hunger at bay for a few hours. A favourite of ours has to be the tomato gazpacho with cucumber sorbet – a perfect light bite to refresh you come midday. For dinner why not go all out on a three-course meal. Mains include pastas, risottos, fish and meat options, as well as a whole selection of burgers. These options might throw up things like grilled tiger prawns with ginger chimichurri or lamb cutlets with Provence herbs, while vegetarians could be tempted by a quinoa burger with coriander and bean sprouts. To pad out your meal try one of the tempting sides, which include everything from sweet potato fries and salad to mashed potato and fluffy steamed rice.
