The Terrace on the Corniche - The St. Regis Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi's Corniche Road is runs for eight kilometres along Abu Dhabi's beautiful seafront, and is popular with locals and tourists alike as it houses a range of restaurants, hotels and cafes, not to mention the beautiful Corniche Beach. The Terrace on the Corniche is arguably one of the best spots Abu Dhabi. Situated on the ground floor of The St. Regis hotel, it sits on the beachfront looking out to the turquoise waters beyond. It has a unique format with an indoor-outdoor flow which lets guests make the most of the view and feel immersed in the coastal location. The décor is a stylish example of ‘old meets new’ with opulent mosaic flooring, dark, wooden panelled walls and richly-upholstered seating. This is contrasted with spacious, light surroundings, vivid artwork and a modern buffet area where banquet dining is served.

Outside on the terrace, white-washed, beachy furniture brings a holiday feel and the blue and gold seating nods to the seaside view. It’s a relaxing, calming space to unwind, while still benefiting from a luxurious menu. Speaking of which, The Terrace’s menu is incredibly expansive and aims to give diners a taste of the whole world, spanning many different cultures and cuisines. The Project Brunch is one of its signature sittings occurring every Saturday from 1pm until 4pm. Pay a set fee and you are welcome to try anything from the buffet including Tomahawk steak with foie gras and fresh oysters paired with Talisker Storm whisky. There’s also a ‘make your own martini’ section, and even Champagne sabering where a member of staff will cut the end of the bottle clean off with a small sword.
