As the name might suggest, A Cappella is a celebration of both food and music, looking to create a fun space where guests can enjoy the vibe as much as they do the food. The interior is kept fairly casual, with neutral tones (minus the odd neon sign - we are in Dubai after all), a semi open kitchen and a large bar taking centre stage. However the outside has been designed to wow, with large marble tables, palm trees and waterside views beside the Palm fountains. Transport yourself to a place of paradise, between the fire features and glistening lights, taking in Dubai’s beauty and elegance.
The menu sees a mixture of small and larger plates, such as salmon tartar, tandoori lamb chop, and prawn pelmeni for the smaller dishes, and sambal chilli noodles and mac n cheese for something a little bigger. If you’d rather have the choice made for you, there’s also a 7 course set menu where you can go from an amuse bouche, to soup of the day, followed by two small plates, a sorbet, one big plate, a dessert and finally a petit four. If you’re around on a Sunday between 1 - 4 though, don’t forget to get involved in the Sunday brunch with lots of food, plenty of cocktails, and constant entertainment.
The bar menu is extensive, with a mixture of classic and special cocktails, such as ‘dark & spice’ with double spiced rum, tamarind and jaggery syrup, as well as one like ‘Ping Me’, with Pimms, lychee, kaffir lime, apple & rhubarb bitter. Or if you’d rather pass on the booze, there’s also a lengthy shisha menu, offering single and mixed blends to enjoy out on the terrace. So whether it’s heading out on a Wednesday to make the most of ladies night, or going for an evening meal to celebrate with the family, A Cappella offers a space for everyone no matter the occasion.
