Dubai is no stranger to restaurants with amazing views, but this rooftop hotspot from the Yeeels Group - the people behind Verde Dubai - might just take the cake. CouCou Dubai is a whopping 52 floors up on the roof of The Palm Tower, offering incredible views alongside a loaded bar and Med-inspired menu.
Inside CouCou keeps things classy with neat, minimal styling - the panoramic view is the star of the show, and smart wooden tables line the edges of the room, alongside plush leather banquettes. The huge floor to ceiling windows ensure that wherever you’re seated in the restaurant, you can see Dubai stretched out to the horizon below you, from the Palm Jumeirah and city skyline all the way out to the Arabian Gulf.
As for the restaurant, expect Mediterranean crowd-pleasers and some luxury comforts too. A range of caviars are available for example, as are appetisers like snails with garlic butter, crispy calamari and grilled octopus with ratte potatoes. The menu takes a broad snapshot of the Mediterranean and has something for everyone, from pizzas and pastas to salads, raw ceviches and carpaccios, and mains like milk fed lamb cutlets with feta cheese, and grilled sea bass with zucchini and artichoke puree. There’s also a shisha menu to enjoy alongside a drink and a bite to eat.
CouCou is also popular as a sky lounge and bar as well, offering a chic space to catch up with friends and family or entertain clients. The centrepiece of the bar area is a stunning marble bar, and mixologists behind the bar have a smart list of signature cocktails on hand, including ‘Under The Moon’ (Martini Bianco, sauvignon blanc, lychee syrup, mandarin puree) and the Pina-tita (tequila, triple sec, pineapple and Thai chilli).
