Hoseki is Japanese for 'gemstone' and this dining room truly is a gem among the Dubai skyline. Set on the fourth floor of the Bulgari Hotel, the sleek, clean, monochrome interiors creates an elegant atmosphere. Dining here, guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience served up by Chef Masahiro Sugiyama, sixth-generation sushi master.
At this exclusive dining spot, there are only nine-counter seats, creating a very intimate and personalised meal as guests receive front-row seats to watch Sugiyama and his team show off their impressive knife skills. The beauty of this level of intimacy is that the team takes the preferences and tastes of each of the diners into consideration, pairing these with the freshest of the day's ingredients directly imported from Japan. A refined, technical performance makes for an omakase experience that is unique to each visit.
The dinner menu is simple, with two options, either 5 or 7 appetisers that are then followed by a selection of sushi, miso soup and a Japanese omelet. Authenticity is at the heart of this experience with its simplicity allowing the chefs to create an intimate selection of food in the Omakase style that showcases the unspoken bond between the guest and the chef.
From start to finish, guests are taken on a journey of Japanese authenticity and cultural culinary expertise. Greeted through a special Tokonoma (a dedicated traditional reception room), staff, dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos, will transport guests to the nine counter seats, placing their tastebuds in the skillful hands of the chefs. With gorgeous views of the Dubai skyline, it is not just the food that will leave diners impressed!
