Hutong Dubai is bringing contemporary and sometimes fiery Northern Chinese cuisine to the heart of Dubai’s International Financial Centre. With its flagship restaurant in Hong Kong, this beloved global restaurant also has sites in London, New York City and Miami.
Overlooking Dubai’s celebrated Museum of the Future, Hutong Dubai has a striking interior inspired by ‘The Four Arts’ of the Qing Dynasty. The spacious setting boasts deep velvet seats, polished wood features and dark and moody styling punctuated by fiery splashes of red. The focus of the interior is a grand wishing tree, placed right at the centre. At the end of your dining experience, guests can write a wish on a special wishing card, hang it on the tree and wish for it to come true.
Hutong’s menu is carefully chosen, and each dish is packed full of flavour and imagination. Starters offer the best of traditional Chinese cooking; green bamboo shoots, hutong prawn rolls, chicken kou shui, scallop and prawn garlic wontones, alongside several soup options. Hutong is famous for it’s dim sum - it recently launched a bottomless dim sum brunch - and choices such as tea-smoked dried tofu, beef xiao long bao, and pan-seared ginger lobster won’t disappoint.
Main dishes are also classically based, with the choice between barbecue, meat, seafood, fish, and vegetarian. Stand-out options include the flaming whole peking duck, truffle kou shui chicken, and the ‘Red Lantern’ (deep-fried spiced soft-shell crab with dried whole chillies).
Dessert is a plethora of traditional Chinese dishes, alongside ice cream or sorbet and an impressive list of teas. Hutong Dubai also offers a wide variety of wines, spirits and signature cocktails.
