Jing Asia is, as you might expect, an Asian restaurant found on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Housed in the Crowne Plaza, this far eastern eatery is handily placed for a pitstop after a game of golf or following a day exploring the sights of the nearby water parks and gardens.
The dining room has a cosy ambiance thanks to low slung lighting and a wood panelled ceiling and walls. Dark tables and chairs are offset with colourful clashing cushions on the bench-style seating and the main space hosts a number of live cooking stations for you to watch while you eat, along with lighter rattan furniture for an airy vibe.
For the most part the offering at Jing Asia is a buffet-style affair, with the restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day – meaning you can always grab a bite to eat here, whatever the time of day. At lunchtime you might be presented with platters of fresh fruit and sushi to pique your appetite, followed by a selection of cooked seafood as well as rice and noodle dishes. Main courses include char sui beef, Szechuan style aubergine and sweet corn and egg drop soup as well as sides like herby roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables. At the live stations you can expect family favourites like sweet and sour vegetables and platters of appetisers.
Dessert is where Jing Asia really comes into its own, with a vast selection of sweet treats to delight every diner, no matter what their tastes. Pick between them or go all in and load up a plate with various delicacies. Serves might include panna cotta, chocolate mousse, yuzu caramel tarts and iterations of tiramisu.
If you prefer, there is also an a la carte offering in the evenings, allowing you a slightly more traditional dining experience.
