Few places in the world do luxury beach clubs quite like Dubai, and KYMA Beach is joining the fray with a cool, opulent Greek beach club at the beautiful Palm West Beach.
KYMA Beach is the latest venue from the RIKAS Group, who also run a handful of Dubai’s trendiest restaurants and bars, including LA Cantine du Faubourg, Mimi Kakushi and Twiggy. This venture is in collaboration with The St. Regis Dubai and combines the beach sand, sun and lapping waves with a contemporary Greek menu.
The decor mirrors the organic, neutral tones of the beach and crystal blue waters. Wooden loungers line the beachfront and pool, with guests protected from the sun by macrame parasols. As well as individual sunbeds, KYMA Beach also has two-person gazebos and larger cabanas available on the beach, the latter housing up to four guests at a time. Weekend prices are more expensive than weekdays, and make sure you check prices before you book as the bookings are not refundable.
Meanwhile, the menu takes authentic Greek flavours and gives them some modern twists. There are classic dips like taramasalata, tzatziki and roasted baba ganoush, and joining those are a huge selection of small plates, salads, mains and more. Seafood is a huge focus of the menu here - there’s a variety of raw fish dishes including oysters, sea bream carpaccio and yellowfin tuna tartare, and for those who can’t choose, there’s a huge cold seafood platter that includes marinated octopus, prawns, langoustine, oysters, and lobster. There’s also a choice of market fish and seafood, and you can order fish and meat cooked to order over a charcoal grill.
The award-winning cocktail team has the drinks front under control with a selection of innovative house cocktails, including the Poseidon (Metaxa, passionfruit, orange, mint, and Orgeat) and the Syringa (tequila, blueberry, lime, ginger water).
