Not only is this one of the swankiest bakeries in Dubai, but we’re confident in saying it may also be one with the highest ceilings. The room is large, light and fitted out in a dark, contemporary style (minus the pops of lime green that come from the chairs). Open daily, it offers freshly baked bread - with baguettes that have been described as the best in Dubai - as well as plenty of pastries, crafted coffee, and a selection of authentic European cuisine.
The menu has you covered from morning through to early evening, with a breakfast, business lunch, all day and afternoon tea menu. For breakfast, you can choose from anything at the bakers counter like danishes, croissants and muffins, to classic muesli and fluffy coconut pancakes. Or go for something a little more hearty like crab benedict, steak and egg with potato rosti, or a forest mushroom omelette. For the business lunch, you can enjoy three courses between 12 and 4, and pick from brisket croquettes with chipotle mayonnaise, Sea bass with potato and leek mash, and a dessert from the display counter. The all day menu is slightly more extensive, with an option for starters, salads, sandwiches and mains. Think salmon carpaccio and foie gras and egg toast for starters, fattoush salads, lamb shoulder pita and black angus burger for sandwiches / handhelds, then octopus with chimichurri for mains.
The afternoon tea offers a civilised way to spend the day, picking on dainty sandwiches and picture perfect patisserie, whilst sipping away on a selection of teas or Champagne. Adding in a few unexpected extras, you can expect things like deviled egg, salmon rillette, or spinach and cheese puff. We love afternoon teas, and we’re pretty sure there’s no better place to enjoy one than at one of the city’s best bakeries.
