La Serre is a multi-purpose culinary space found at the Vida hotel in Downtown Dubai. The venue features a Bistro & Boulangerie on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor.
The Bistro & Boulangerie is open from breakfast and aims to replicate the charm of a Parisian street café. In the morning, stop by here to start your day with freshly baked homemade pastries and breads, with options to tuck into including chocolate brioche, raspberry Danish and raisin croissants with vanilla pastry cream. If you prefer a heartier breakfast, instead order the likes of scrambled eggs on toast topped with black truffle shavings or a freshly-made bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
At lunchtime, the menu shifts to an all-day dining focus, with the Bistro & Boulangerie serving a range of filled sandwiches, such as a chicken and bacon combination or a traditional Croque Monsieur. When the sun is shining (and that’s almost always the case in Dubai), you can opt to dine on the shaded outdoor terrace, where you’ll be able to soak up some rays without the heat being too uncomfortable.
The first-floor restaurant at La Serre truly comes to life in the evening, when you will find a French-inspired menu. Found at the top of a grandiose staircase, La Serre Restaurant is a chic space complete with a marble cocktail bar and cream banisters that overlook the Boulevard below. The restaurant is also home to a 12-seat Chef’s Table, which is ideal for extra special experiences. On the regular à la carte, expect to find starters such as French onion soup and snails with garlic and parsley butter, followed by mains including whole roasted chicken with foie gras and truffle sauce, as well as spicy marinated lamb cutlets with a white onion purée.
