While international visitors drive much of Dubai's economy, many miss out on authentic Emirati and Khaleeji food during their visit. Logma aims to change this, serving up truly authentic traditional dishes in a relaxed, cafe-style setting in the busy Dubai Mall. Inside, palms are positioned in the corners of the room adding a tropical beach feel, while the balcony allows for alfresco dining with a view. The decor is modern, but still has a friendly, convivial atmosphere, ideal for groups or family dining. The restaurant is open from the morning to late at night every day, so you can stop in whenever you like. It's a great spot to rest your feet after a busy day of shopping in one of the world's biggest shopping malls.
If it's breakfast you and your group are after, you'll be pleased to find plenty of highly affordable options, including foul medammes, the Logma Benedict, fried eggs with spices or shakshuka. Those who can't decide (or just want a bit of everything) should choose the Arabic breakfast platter, featuring falafel, halloumi, labneh, za'atar, feta, foul medammes, bread and veggies.
Heading into the afternoon, you'll instead find more classic Middle Eastern options. To start with, be sure to order some parathas, served with cream cheese and honey, and perhaps some lentil soup with khameer croutons. After that, there are lots of great things to nibble on, including samosas, falafel, crispy halloumi and chilli fries. Salads, meanwhile, include watermelon and feta, pomegranate and mozzarella or halloumi and pine nuts.
The main event is the taco-style parathas, with fillings including dynamite shrimp, chicken tikka, kebab, chicken shawarma, halloumi or Oman chips and cream cheese. Other mains include saffron risotto, butter chicken, house pasta with cheese, cherry tomato, chilli and herbs or a seafood platter. If you want to try authentic local food on your trip to Dubai Mall, this is the place to do it.
