Set within the massive Dubai Mall, OPSO brings a slice of Greece to the city centre. This is the first venture for this brand outside of the UK, where it has a glamorous restaurant in London's Marylebone district.
The restaurant is split into three sections: ‘OPSO Dining’, ‘OPSO Social’ and ‘OPSO Prive’. The OPSO Dining area is the main restaurant, with a striking golden wall, marble flooring and bar, and plush seating throughout. OPSO Social is a social space that’s been created for friends to unwind and relax in a peaceful environment, and finally, OPSO Prive is a private hideaway that’s used for an exclusive evening out with mezze and shisha overlooking the Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa.
The menu has managed to suitably balance flavour and style, making the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing in a social media-friendly way. Expect smoking plates, gold-covered burgers, and chocolate spheres that collapse with the touch of warm pouring sauce. OPSO's extravagant menu can all be enjoyed with views overlooking the Dubai Fountain (yet another plus for your Instagram).
The plates are small and designed for sharing - think dips with freshly baked bread, grilled prawns, spicy pizzas and a variety of salads. For pudding, you can expect to see plenty of chocolate, and gold leaf, just to reinstate the luxury vibe of this high-end establishment. After dinner, there’s a choice of shisha to enjoy on the terrace, the perfect way to finish an evening in Dubai.
Although OSPO has been born through a love of Greek cuisine and flavours, it has been kept alive through the appreciation for Arabic hospitality and its passion for excellent dining.
