Situated right in the heart of the city, Mattar Farm Kitchen celebrates the unrivalled magic that happens when you combine of meat and smoke, with a few salads and carb-fuelled sides for good measure.
Mattar Farm Kitchen lives up to it's rural name with a vegetable patch, animal pens and grassy areas situated on site. The restaurant itself began as a pile of logs and a barbecue - founder Hattam Mattar takes inspiration from Texan barbecues, the meat is cooked low and slow, infusing it with a smokey flavour. Mattar brings his passion for American barbecue to Dubai, seeking out wood suppliers, butchers and producers for the finest cuts of quality beef in the city, which is then smoked with unique spice mixes.
The busy kitchen caters for parties, ceremonies and VIP guests as well as doing a roaring trade in online orders and takeaways. On the menu are two different types of brisket - either a prime cut or Wagyu beef - as well as other classic barbecue cuts like smoked beef ribs and a whole lamb leg. The barbecue doesn't stop with beef however, with smoked turkey, chicken, and even duck on offer.
Another signature dish is the smoked sausage. Choose between chicken and cheese or lamb and zaatar; if you're feeling brave, why not opt for the spicy beef chorizo sausage?
The wide selection of sides allows diners to customise their barbecue feast. With classics like green salad, coleslaw and potato salad for cold sides or southern style rice, garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and signature fries for hot sides. Stand-out sides include the bacon baked beans and the pumpkin salad with goat cheese, showing off Mattar's passion and talent for flavour.
