Miss Lily’s is a lively Jamaican-style diner, Caribbean rum bar and jerk shack that offers a modern approach to Jamaican cooking. This site in Dubai’s Sheraton Grand Hotel is the brand’s first international outpost, following on from its restaurant in Jamaica and another in New York. It opened on Sheikh Zayed Road in 2016, bringing its sunny vibes and exciting dishes to the Middle East for the first time.
Executive chef Adam Schop creates modern renditions of dishes that are inspired by the diverse roots of Jamaican cuisine. This includes signatures such as jerk chicken, oxtail stew, curry goat stew and scotch bonnet lamb rack. In addition to more familiar main courses, guests can tuck into a range of nibbles and appetisers, such as jerk corn with jerk mayo and toasted coconut, hot pepper shrimp, ackee hummus with grilled roti flatbread and tamarind glazed lamb ribs with pickled apricots, pistachio and coriander. The menu also features a tempting array of desserts, such as dark and stormy rum cake with ginger ice cream, scotch bonnet brownie and homemade coconut cake.
To drink, expect plenty of rum-based cocktails including its signature Rum Pum Punch, alongside house wines and house pours.
The interiors at Miss Lily’s Dubai are sure to put a smile on your face. Boasting a bright and eclectic colour palette, the dining room is decorated with a mismatch of patterns and tones. Long bench seating offers a social dining experience, while old-school records on the walls and a large speaker display are in keeping with the retro diner theme.
