Found on the ground floor of the five-star Palazzo Versace Dubai, Mosaico is a restaurant and lobby lounge that offers a casual space for daytime dining. The restaurant’s interiors are instantly recognisable as part of the Versace aesthetic, being decked out in the classic over the top design that helped the legendary fashion house to make its name.
Mosaico opens daily from 8am and the menu kicks off with light breakfast options including an assortment of freshly-baked pastries such as croissants and cinnamon rolls. Later in the day, Mosaico becomes a destination for a classic high tea. If you are short on time, opt for the Cream Tea, which features plain and raisin scones served with homemade jam, clotted cream and lemon curd.
If you want the full experience though, the Palazzo Versace High Tea is surely the only way to go (there’s also an option to make it a Celebration Tea, by throwing in two glasses of Prosecco for each diner). The tea begins with a selection of savouries, with options including smoked Salmon mille feuille with orange and fennel zest, a miniature roll filled with egg salad and mayonnaise, and marinated prawn topped with avocado mango pearl and salmon caviar.
Next up, you can enjoy freshly-baked plain or raisin scones slathered with homemade jam and clotted cream, while from the sweet side of things, you will be able tuck into the likes of a raspberry and velvet choux pastry, blanched hazelnut and milk chocolate panna cotta, and a lemon meringue macaron.
Mosaico operates a smart casual dress code and welcomes children of all ages. In the evenings, patrons over the age of 21 are able to enjoy shisha which is served on Mosaico’s outdoor terrace that has enough room for 44 guests at one time. The restaurant boasts panoramic views of the Dubai Creek via floor-to-ceiling windows, while the lounge also overlooks the hotel’s main pool should you fancy a snack post-swim.
