Address Montgomerie is the palatial golf resort and hotel that has been designed by renowned Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie. At the heart of the facilities is the handful of restaurants the sportsman has included in his collection – with Nineteen being at the centre of this food and drinks offering.
Both the menu and the décor is inspired by the warmth and hospitality of the Mediterranean, creating a little slice of Europe in the surrounds of Dubai. Interiors are a calming combination of neutral, upholstered chairs, clean white walls, feature gold pendant lighting and muted floral artworks. The floor to ceiling windows floods the room with light and the views extend over the precisely manicured greens to let you appreciate the beautiful setting. There is also an outdoor terrace should you prefer to dine outdoors.
While there is a buffet offering, at which children under five eat free and those up to 12 enjoy a half price deal, there are also a la carte options. Sharing platters and salads encourage family-style dining while those who are after their own three courses are catered for too. Begin with garlic and parsley butter prawns or Spanish octopus with potatoes, peppers and paprika, before moving on to handmade pasta for mains, or a slow cooked duck breast with broccoli, roasted endive and celeriac, for instance. Desserts are a tempting line-up of classics which include a rich coffee tiramisu and a perfectly caramelised pear tart tatin with cream. A helpfully brief wine list allows you to pair your perfect glass to your meal, and the helpful staff are on hand should you need any further advice on which combinations work well together.
The dress code at Nineteen is smart casual, with the whole family is welcomed to dine seven days a week, for both lunch and dinner sittings. Call ahead or send an email to reserve your spot.
