Olea is an all-day dining venue situated on the ground floor of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, serving Mediterranean-inspired food. Guests are invited to dine in a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for making the most out of with a group of friends or family.
The spacious floor of Olea is bathed in a calming blue-tinged light that seeps through the floor to ceiling glass windows. The energy of the restaurant itself is made all the more soothing by the ceiling that follows an intricately curved pattern, as well as the walls that wind round the corners in a similar fashion, glowing with a blue, purple and green backlight. Within this luminescent space, elements of nature intertwine throughout, with delicate trees being placed in between the tables and a shadow of this cast on the featured, colourful wall. Sophistication immediately comes to mind.
Outside, the restaurant is by no means less impressing. Set right on the sea-front, Olea’s outdoor seating space is a garden utopia. Contrasting with the turquoise tones of the ocean, bright yellow chairs sit around ornately decorated tables, surrounded by a luscious lawn and collection of palm trees. The beautiful views are certainly a winning feature for this restaurant. Despite also having excellent service and delectable food, it’s worth visiting just for the sole reason of taking in the sights.
Since this restaurant is situated in a hotel it means that the menu is incredibly varied, also largely due to the buffet set up. For breakfast, there is a great selection of waffles, pancakes, French toast and more. Later on in the day, Olea is known for serving delicious and fresh seafood; think scallops, salmon, and fresh salads. To accompany, the drinks menu is equally extensive. A long list of cocktails, juices, and coffees is sure to quench your thirst, whilst you take in the beautiful surroundings.
