Royal China is well known around the world for its top tier Chinese food and dim sum. The restaurant uses only the best ingredients to prepare elegant dishes throughout the day and well into the night. It's well suited to any style of dining, whether it's with colleagues, clients, family or friends, offering not just great food but also authentic Chinese music to soundtrack the meal. Each Royal China restaurant has the same menu, but with an extra page of unique, signature dishes created by that specific branch's head chef. Set seven-course tasting menus are also available.
Start off with classic dim sum like prawn or crab dumplings, as well as the must-try Shanghai xiao long bao (soup dumplings). There are both steamed and pan-fried dumplings available, as well as other styles like shumai and buns. The black gold yolk lava buns are a signature but need to be preordered.
From there, you and your group can dive into the larger plates, with options like fried rice served in a lotus leaf, or fried Shanghai udon with shredded chicken. Soup dishes like shrimp wonton noodles or crab meat and roe noodles are also available. Regulars at Royal China typically go for the roast Peking duck pancakes, so we recommend you do too.
Given the huge size of the menu, the amount of choice might feel a little overwhelming. Thankfully, the extremely helpful and friendly staff are more than happy to recommend dishes and answer any questions about the menu.
Nestled in the Dubai International Financial Centre, this is the perfect spot for a work lunch or post-work feast. Royal China also delivers, so you can enjoy the restaurant's great dim sum and large plates from the comfort of your own home. Royal China also has branches in London's China Town.
