This Dubai restaurant is the place to be for seafood aficionados. Seafood Market sources seafood from all over the world from France, Norway, New Zealand, Canada, and more. Local varieties are also available, freshly caught each day. The restaurant aims to reinvent the sea-to-table dining experience by allowing patrons to shop for their meal.
Chef Nim Fat Kwai is the chef patron of the restaurant, and has been credited with bringing the concept to life, and with decades of experience under his belt in restaurant all over Asia. Chef Kwai has a passion for seafood and imparts his knowledge of Asian cuisines from China and Malaysia at the Seafood Marekt with a professional flourish.
The interior of the market-style restaurant is nautical themed, decorated as a deluxe cruise-liner. The main feature of the venue are the 18 large seawater tanks brimming with live oysters, crabs, baby shark, halwayoo, etc. Not only is the fish of the highest quality, but the service and chefs are too.
The menu, created by an award-winning culinary team, boasts an impressive offering of dishes that have been delighting patrons for years. The restaurant specialises in Asian delicacies, and draws much inspiration from the Far East with their selection of noodles and soups – which feel nicely authentic and homely.
In addition to this, patrons can choose from a range of cooking options for their fresh fish such as grilled, steamed, sautéed, or deep fried. There is also a large variety of wonderful sauces to choose from too, from classic lemon butter to Szechuan spicy chilli or peppered lime and garlic. The Thermidor is of course the most popular sauce for the lobster.
The stunning restaurant is located in Le Meridien Hotel and was the first market style concept to open in Dubai, having been around since 1992!
