Sukhothai is a Thai restaurant near Dubai Airport, Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre. The restaurant serves a range of traditional Thai dishes on plates of banana leaves, offering diners a 'culinary journey' across Thailand. Sukhothai has a friendly ambience and Thai-inspired decor - the restaurant is intended to look like 'an emperor's palace', with hand-carved wooden pillars, chaise longues and fresh orchids decorating the restaurant.
On the a la carte menu are curries, with a choice of protein ranging from vegetables to duck to lobster, as well as noodle and rice dishes, including crab fried rice and pad thai. Highlights include the wok-fried lobster topped with garlic and pepper sauce, as well as crispy duck with shallots, coriander, red chilli and tamarind sauce. The desserts available include Thai classic mango with sticky rice, pandan crème brûlée, and crispy water chestnuts, palm seeds and jackfruit in coconut milk.
Sukhothai also has a range of specialised menus, so there really is something for every diner and every occasion. The restaurant has dedicated vegan and vegetarian menus, and vegetarian and non-vegetarian set business lunches. The vegan menu features dishes such as tofu green curry and wok-fried rice noodles with mixed vegetables, tofu and peanuts.
