Found in the Dubai Festival City Hotel, Anise is an international buffet restaurant which celebrates food from around the world. The spacious and light-filled restaurant features eight live cooking stations, which turn out speciality dishes from across the globe.
Breakfasts and lunches from around the world are served daily at Anise, while the focus of the dinner offering changes on a nightly basis. On Mondays, sushi is the focus, with Anise bringing you a taste of Japan via fresh sushi and sashimi, alongside maki and nigiri made of salmon, tuna and crab. On Tuesdays, you’ll a selection of dishes inspired by the street food stalls found across Asia, while Wednesday nights see a celebration of all things carnivorous, with a focus on meat – including Anise’s signature ‘steamship’ carvery.
In the latter half of the week, you can expect to delight in seafood galore on Thursdays, with dishes to try including whole baked fish, sushi and sashimi and teppan grills. On Fridays, you can kick start the weekend with Taste of the World, which is a global brunch by Anise that comes complete with a live acoustic band. Saturdays are a celebration of Arabian cuisine featuring dishes from a wood-fired oven and charcoal grill, while the last day of the week is devoted to curry, whether that be classic curries from Thailand, India and Malaysia, or more contemporary British infusions.
Thanks to the wide variety of cuisines available, Anise is a real all-rounder, so it’s great for group dining where everyone at the table can try something different. Anise is also suitable for diners of all ages, with a dedicated kids buffet available some evenings, while diners under the age of five eat for free.
Although fully air-conditioned inside, those dining at Anise can choose to make the most of Dubai’s glorious weather by sitting on its expansive outdoor terrace, which boasts views of the Dubai skyline.
