If you’re in Dubai on a quest for luxury, then let us introduce you to the most descendant deli we’ve ever seen (and possibly in the world). Decked out in a sophisticated monochrome colour palette, the Armani Hotel deli offers up a cool, calm space to enjoy a few hours in the crisp surrounds of this high-fashion space.
Paying homage to the ingredients of Italy, this restaurant is one of the only places in Dubai to get authentic European ingredients from small-scale artisan producers. Pick up a few treats to take home or dine in, the option is yours - and if you want to do both then we wouldn’t blame you.
We think the Armani Deli is best happened upon at lunchtime, when the fresh produce is whipped up into all sorts of salads and sandwiches to enjoy in the beautiful space. Take your pick from the counter which showcases gorgeous preparations of vegetables, unusual olives, piles of marinated fish, rich dips and sweet, slowly dried tomatoes. Charcuterie boards, homemade pasta, cheese selections and fresh bread complete the savoury offering and allow you a repeat excuses to try out the delicious selection of goodies on offer.
For those with a sweet tooth there’s an entire counter dedicated to patisserie, showcasing the finesse found in Italian panetterias. The delicacies here have been given a very definite fashion twist, with presentation lorded above all else (although not at the sacrifice of flavour). Individual serves are sure to delight; with fruit, and custard pots spiked with self-saucing pipettes sitting alongside little glasses of layered chocolate mousse. If you’re after something more traditional there is always a selection of beautiful cakes, tarts and pastries to pick from too.
Service is as slick as the surrounds, making sure you feel like you’re being well and truly spoiled throughout your visit.
