So good they named it twice, Asia Asia is an award-winning restaurant and lounge in the Dubai Marina inspired by the ancient spice routes that linked the east with the west, also known as the silk roads. Offering spectacular panoramic views of the marina, diners are able to enjoy a myriad of Pan Asian flavours with a backdrop of sparkling water below. Glitzy interiors throughout make Asia Asia a special spot for birthdays and celebrations, but the real selling point is its stunning alfresco terrace where you can soak up the city's skyline while sipping on a bespoke cocktail.
Asia Asia is open seven days a week, serving an la carte throughout the week as well as a Saturday brunch menu at weekends. The main menu offers a wide selection of sharing dishes and is divided into different sections: from dim sum to skewers to maki and sashimi. Travel all over Asia (culinarily speaking) and mix and match a variety of dishes, or simply opt from one section of the menu. Examples include miso black cod with pickled ginger root and crispy leek, salmon carpaccio with truffle ponzu, caviar and crispy rice, spicy tuna maki with avocado, cucumber, green tobiko, spring onion, crispy onion and spicy sesame, and chinese-spiced calamari with sour plum aioli, jalapeño and red chilli.
The Saturday brunch menu comprises a reduced selection of some of Asia Asia’s favourite dishes. It might be a little unorthodox, but you can hop from tuna ceviche to teriyaki salmon to a mochi selection for breakfast, if you really want. Add a drinks package (soft drinks, house beverages or prosecco) at an extra cost. The general drinks list comprises cocktails, mocktails, champagnes and wines, beers, sakes, shochu, umeshu and a range of spirits.
