Step in to the Amazonian jungle at Mama Zonia, a tropical cove in the Dubai Marina where jungle-esque interiors, Latin American dishes and an ever-changing line-up of entertainment put it in the running for one of the most fun, immersive restaurants in Dubai. Located on the second floor of Pier 7, Mama Zonia is designed to transport guests to the Amazon via sight, sound and taste.
The interiors are designed to exude wild luxury, with lush green foliage covering the ceiling and main dining space in the form of giant leafy plants and hanging installations. Luxurious red armchair seating adds flashes of colour, as do exotic prints on the cushions and walls. There is also a stunning alfresco terrace where guests are able to soak up the views of the Dubai Marina while they drink and dine.
Mama Zonia’s eclectic menu spans an array of Asian, Caribbean, and Latin American dishes, from Peruvian delicacies to hefty grilled steaks. On the a la carte menu, expect to find a selection of raw and ceviche dishes, salads, sushi, tacos, skewers, grills and a lot more! You might like to start with scallop ceviche served with mango, avocado and yellow tiger milk, alongside a selection of maki rolls and sashimi. There are also plenty of premium grade steaks, from wagyu to prime tenderloin, which are all served with double cooked fries and chimichurri sauce.
The restaurant also offers an express lunch menu for busy diners, as well as its famous Saturday brunch which features an array of dishes served sharing-style. Add bottomless drinks, if you dare.
A happy hour menu runs Sunday to Friday where you can indulge in some of its cocktails, spirits, beers and wine for a reduced price. With a dedicated bar and lounge area as well as an experienced bartending team, don’t miss one of its signature cocktails. Try one called Golden Poison made with vodka, peach liqueur, passion fruit, mandarin and lime.
