Found inside the upmarket Dusit Thani, a luxury hotel which boasts 321 guest rooms and suites, Benjarong is a chic and stylish restaurant serving Thai cuisine.
Benjarong’s dining room is a glamorous and vibrant display of colour with royal blue and deep red velvet seating and coloured, wooden panelling in the ceiling. There are a few nods to classic Thai interior design trends too, thanks to Thai-style hand woven lanterns and traditional design motifs from the country such as the elegant light installation of circular lights that give a nod to the full moon festivities.
Open for lunch and dinner, Benjarong’s menu is a mixture of classic and contemporary dishes which are inspired by the cuisine of Thailand. Starters include dishes such as deep-fried spring rolls, fish cakes and chicken satay skewers that can be enjoyed as a sharing selection with your table or just for youself.
When it comes to main courses, Benjarong’s signature dish is its khao soi, which comes highly recommended by the kitchen’s team of chefs and is a dish of egg noodles, massaman gravy with coconut milk served with chilli powder oil, shallots, pickled cabbage and lemon with your choice of meat or seafood. Otherwise, you can enjoy a selection of salads and soups, alongside seafood specialities such as soft shell crab in a yellow curry or steamed seabass pepped up chilli, garlic and an acidic lemon dressing. Naturally, a classic pad Thai also appears on the menu, while vegetarians aren’t an afterthought either, thanks to a whole host of meat-free dishes; pick from the likes of wok fried young Chinese kale with oyster sauce, or tofu slathered with a spicy chilli paste.
With views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai's skyline, this is more than just a restaurant but an authentic culinary experience infused with grandeur while maintaining a casual, exciting ambience.
