In Dubai, it’s a well-known fact that you can find most of the world’s major cuisines being represented on the dining scene. Once you’ve realised this though, you have to ask yourself the question of just how authentic these restaurants are. At Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao, there’s no need to worry about its legitimacy, as the founders of the restaurant were born and raised on a traditional Southern Brazilian farm in the Serra Gaucha.
It was here that they learned to cook in the churrasco grilling tradition which is a speciality of the Fogo de Chao brand, which has locations around the globe including sites in Mexico, the US and Saudi Arabia. You’ll find the Dubai outpost at the Central Park Towers in Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC). The restaurant boasts a plum location within walking distance of City Walk, Emirates Towers and Downtown Dubai.
Fogo de Chao is made up of a main dining area, a bar and lounge, a shisha lounge, private dining rooms, a courtyard and an outdoor terrace with the added benefit of striking views of the Burj Khalifa. On the menu, you can expect to find meat dishes as well as a Market Table featuring seasonal salads and fruit and vegetables. Highlights from the menu include a selection of roasted meats served at the table and beef croquettes with chimichurri aioli, while seafood dishes see Chilean seabass slicked with mango or pan-fried salmon.
Fogo de Chao is open for every day for lunch and dinner and also serves brunch Fridays. Drinks wise, expect a wide-ranging list of cocktails alongside an impressive selection of wines curated by Fogo de Chao’s in-house team of sommeliers. You can choose to dine in the main restaurant or enjoy your meal al fresco on the terrace, while valet parking adds ease to the whole occasion.
