Versace is a fashion label that has been made famous for its attention grabbing prints and luxury designs, so it should come as little surprise that the Dubai outpost of Palazzo Versace is just as over the top as the clothes the high end designer sends down the runway.
There are several restaurants to choose from at the hotel, with Giardino being one of them. The restaurant is typified by marble terrazzo-style flooring, imposing columns and wallpaper and furnishings that are splashed with the captivating jungle motif of Versace’s wallpaper collection. The green and ivory colour palette is matched by the chic crockery used, which comes from an exclusive line called the ‘Rosenthal meets Versace’ collection, inspired by Les Reves Byzantines.
The restaurant is perhaps known for its luxurious Friday brunch, when guests can choose from a choice of international crowd pleasers. Cuisines on show here include Arabic, Indian and a selection of seafood dishes. Settle into the stylish, yet comfortable surrounds while you enjoy your brunch, or if you want to be out in the sunshine, head out onto the expansive outdoor terrace and listen to the live performances of resident singer Claudia Patrice, whose dulcet tones are accompanied by pianist Henry Newman.
On Wednesday evenings, Giardino restaurant becomes a celebration of seafood. Expect to find a range of seafood delicacies to choose from, alongside an abundance of live seafood stations, cold seafood counters and a grill to cook the likes of lobster and octopus.
