About

Luxury, exlusive and glamourous, Moonrise is one of Dubai's most in-demand rooftop restaurants. Found on the roof of Eden House, Moonrise is an Omakase restaurant that blends Japanese cuisine with middle-eastern influences to create a unique array of refined, creative dishes.

With views of Dubai's stunning skyline, spanning the city to the beaches of Jumeirah, diners are treated to an exclusive dining experience as the restaurant hosts eight guests at a time, with only two seatings per evening. Run by chef Solemann Haddad, one of Dubai's youngest star chefs, guests are offered a menu that is paid for in advance and features a range of international techniques as well as fine, sustainble ingredients. The chef's table dining experience offers an intimate dinner as diners are sat at a counter, inches away from the open kitchen as the chef's prepare and guide you through the courses. With turquoise mosaics and marble counters, alongside the hand-crafted ceramics that the chefs present the food on, Moonrise is a glamorous picture of tranquility.

The menu features small plates of Japanese-style food such as sashimi but blends it with creative flavours, one example being the Chutoro, served with date and localy honey nikiri. Hamachi with a lemon skin puree and a sumac shoyu dressing is another menu highlight and if you're feeling brave, there is a spicy version of hamachi with a shatta yuzu dressing, black truffle caviar and nori tempura.

In the final course, guests can experience the Japanese style in the dark chocolate dish as it is flavoured with salty miso to compliment the chocolate; including a miso dark chocolate sorbet with a dark chocolate and coffee crumble. The chefs also use hojicha tea as the base for one of the dessert options and it is paired with local honey and a smooth vanilla ganache truffle.

The drinks menu isn't extensive but is very connected with the theme of the restaurant. Spicy ginger and lavender or a vanilla and shiso tonic are just two of the inventive drinks diners can sip while they watch over the Dubai skyline.
