Q’s Bar & Lounge is housed within the luxury Palazzo Versace Dubai hotel, but the venue’s links to famous faces doesn’t stop at Mr Versace. In fact, Q’s Bar & Lounge is the brainchild of legendary recording artist Quincy Jones, and is his first foray into the bar industry.
Jones has won a mammoth 28 Grammy awards over the course of his career which has thus far spanned seven decades, so it’s safe to say he’s got some knowledge when it comes to showcasing future talents. Head here to enjoy live performances from a string of emerging artists who perform in the intimate, living room like space. While this is a great venue for live entertainment and is often considered to be among the best live music bars in Dubai, be mindful that Q’s Bar & Lounge is not exactly the place for a catch up – the bar requests that phones are put on silent and that conversations between guests are kept to a minimum out of respect to the live performers.
While music may be at the heart of Q’s Bar & Lounge, it is also a destination for drinking and dining. On the food menu, you will find an assortment of dishes inspired by cuisine’s from around the globe. Quincy’s super fans can choose from the section of the menu dedicated to his ‘favourites’, which includes Wagyu beef sliders served with French fries, deep-fried crab cakes paired with cream cheese and pecan nuts, and a shredded lamb sandwich topped with barbecue sauce.
Otherwise, pick from the regular selection which spans Vietnamese rice spring rolls and crispy fried calamari, all the way through to fish and chips, and spicy chicken wings. Desserts are just as eclectic, with options including a citrus cheesecake topped with white chocolate and yoghurt cream or a classic Italian tiramisu. The restaurant’s signature dessert however is its ‘Mystery Fruit Platter’ – but we won’t spoil the surprise for you.
