Jaleo is a fun and vibrant restaurant that brings traditional Spanish cuisine to the luxurious Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. Created by acclaimed chef Jose Andres, the only chef in the world to own a two Michelin-starred restaurant and four Bib Gourmands, Jaleo looks to recreate Jose’s favourite Spanish dishes and the food from his childhood with accomplished finesse. The menu features plenty of classic and signature dishes, including tasty tapas, hearty paellas and plenty of Sangria to wash everything down.
Jaleo originally opened in 1993 in downtown Washington DC, although now boasts restaurants across the US including Las Vegas, Chicago and Orlando. However, this Dubai site is the first from the brand to open in the UAE, where it showcases the same flair, creativity and fun as the rest of his restaurants.
The menu is designed to be shared and enjoyed with friends, while highlighting the regional nuances in Spanish cuisine through a series of authentic plates. The lengthy menu features both traditional and modern dishes including soups, cheeses, cured meats, vegetables, fish, rice and more. Examples of dishes you might expect to find include a classic paella Valenciana, cod and potato fritters with honey aioli, and Basque-style squid with rice and squid ink sauce. Of course, plenty of Spanish cheeses, wines, and sherries are on offer to complete the experience.
Andrés’ restaurant group includes 31 restaurants ranging in styles and cuisines, from his vegetable-focused, casual Beefsteak brand, to his two Michelin-starred restaurant minibar by José Andrés. Jaleo Dubai is open daily for dinner only from 6pm to 11pm. It asks that guests adhere to its smart casual dress code.
