Following on from the success of Nobu Dubai at Atlantis The Palm, Nobu by the Beach blends Nobu’s universally-loved Japanese-Peruvian cuisine with a slice of waterfront luxury at Atlantis The Royal. Where else can you relax by the beach, enjoy incredible views of the Arabian Gulf and feast on little bites of Nobu’s famous black cod?
With a prime location on the beach front and with uninterrupted views of Palm Island and Dubai, Nobu by the Beach is an oasis of calm. Glass-walled dining areas comprise the restaurant - made to evoke the simplicity of sliding Japanese doors - and a set of glass sliding doors opens out onto a series of cascading lagoon pools and walkways, which lead down to the sandy beach. DJs provide a live deep house soundtrack throughout the day on the beach, and there are luxury air-conditioned cabanas available for when you need a bit of respite from the sun, complete with spa services. Two of the luxury cabanas also feature their own private plunge pools, and all Nobu by the Beach guests are welcomed with refreshing popsicles, fruit ceviche and ice cream bowls.
Meanwhile, the menu takes much of what has made Nobu so popular and condenses it into more accessible, bitesize beach food - there are bento boxes, for example, as well as sandos and tacos. For those in the market for something more substantial, Nobu by the Beach has a live robatayaki counter inside, with meat, fish and skewers cooked over charcoal. There is also, naturally, a sushi counter with a dizzying selection of sushi, sashimi and more.
A beach restaurant wouldn’t be complete without a significant cocktail programme and Nobu’s is impressive - the cocktail bar sits right on the water’s edge, jutting out into the ocean, and the cocktail list balances traditional Japanese and Peruvian ingredients to make a host of refreshing, easy going cocktails.
